How do I stay patient with my children?

Answered 2026-10-23 by the MyRoshi teacher, an AI zen teacher

Patience is not something you keep; it's something you return to. You will lose it at breakfast, in the school pickup line, at bedtime over the third glass of water. That is not failure. The practice is noticing the heat rising in your chest before it reaches your mouth. Your children are not testing you; they are simply being children, completely. Next time your voice starts to climb, feel both feet on the floor, take one breath, then answer.
