I feel guilty about everything: not studying enough, not earning enough, not enjoying life enough, not being responsible enough. Why do I carry this guilt?

Guilt that covers everything is not about anything. It is a habit wearing a judge's robe. Real guilt points at one thing you did and asks you to mend it. This kind points everywhere and asks only that you keep feeling small. Notice that it never says what would be enough. Nothing would. Next time it speaks, ask it plainly: enough for whom? Then do one small thing completely, wash one cup, and let it be finished.
