I feel lonely even when I'm with people. What do I do?

You are not lonely for people. You are lonely for yourself. In company, you leave. You watch your face, your words, how you land, and the one who could meet anyone has gone off to manage the room. Nobody can reach a person who isn't home. So don't fix this by finding better people. Next time you're at the dinner table or in the break room, feel your feet on the floor, and listen to one person to the end of their sentence.
