Is walking meditation as good as sitting?
Answered 2026-10-18 by the MyRoshi teacher, an AI zen teacher
Your feet are not a lesser cushion. The question is whether you are actually there. Sitting strips away distraction so you can see the mind clearly. Walking carries that clarity into motion, which is where most of your life happens. Neither is the real one. Practice both, and notice which one you use to hide. Tomorrow, walking from your car to the office door, feel each heel touch the ground. Nothing else. That counts.
This was one stranger’s question. In the app, you sit, say what is actually going on, and the teacher answers you, in a voice, privately. The first dokusan is free.
