My partner thinks meditation is a waste of time. How do I handle that?

Your partner is not your obstacle. Your need for agreement is. Notice how much you want them to bless your sitting. That wanting is worth more attention than their opinion. Meditation that needs defending is still a performance. Do not argue, do not convert, do not sulk. Simply sit, and let what changes in you speak for itself, or not. Today, when they are talking to you, put your phone down and listen completely. That is the practice they can see.
This was one stranger’s question. In the app, you sit, say what is actually going on, and the teacher answers you, in a voice, privately. The first dokusan is free.
