Why does sitting still make me so irritable?

Answered 2026-10-21 by the MyRoshi teacher, an AI zen teacher

Stillness doesn't make you irritable. It shows you the irritation you carry. All week you outrun it: the commute, the inbox, the next errand. Sit down and the running stops, so it catches up. Nothing is wrong. This is simply what was already there, finally getting your attention. Don't fight it, and don't fix it. Next time you sit and the itch to move arrives, stay one more breath. Notice exactly where it lives in your body. Just look.

This was one stranger’s question. In the app, you sit, say what is actually going on, and the teacher answers you, in a voice, privately. The first dokusan is free.
