MyRoshi is built on open-source software written by other people, and this page credits it. The texts the talks draw on are a separate matter, set out in sources & lineage.
The great majority of what the app is made of is used under the MIT License. Its terms are short: the software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, and the copyright notice and permission notice must accompany it. Copyright remains with each project’s own authors and contributors.
MyRoshi is set in Lora and Spectral. The packages are MIT licensed; the fonts themselves are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits use, study, modification and redistribution, including in a commercial product.
The app runs on React Native and the Expo SDK, both MIT licensed and listed above. The server is written in Python and uses FastAPI (MIT), Uvicorn (BSD 3-Clause) and the cryptography library (Apache 2.0 / BSD 3-Clause), which provides the AES-256-GCM used to encrypt your practice. Audio is encoded with FFmpeg (LGPL 2.1 or later), used unmodified as a separate executable.
Every licence named here is reproduced in full inside each package’s own distribution, and each project publishes it publicly. If you would like the complete licence text for any component, or a full machine-readable dependency manifest, write to admin@myroshi.com and we will send it.
