These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MyRoshi (the “Service”), a subscription application that generates personalized Zen talks (teishos), dharma talks, and a meditation timer. The Service is operated by Saravanakumar D, an individual sole proprietor (“we”, “us”, “our”), registered address 1, Vadakathi Maariyamman Kovil Street, Kamarajapuram, Uppukotai, Theni, Tamil Nadu 625534, India. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Service is currently offered on an invite and subscription basis. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
MyRoshi produces AI-generated spiritual and contemplative content for personal reflection and practice. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind. It does not provide medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, or financial advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suitable for your situation; use your own judgment.
All talks, teishos, quizzes, letters, and voices in the Service are produced by generative AI. The voices are synthetic and designed — they do not belong to, clone, or represent any real person. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or unoriginal, and does not represent any specific teacher, tradition, or lineage. We do not warrant that generated content is accurate, unique, or fit for any purpose, and it is provided for your personal reflection only — not as fact, teaching authority, or professional guidance.
If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, do not use the Service — contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately (in the US, call or text 988; internationally, see findahelpline.com).
You sign in with Google or a one-time email code. Your practice content (reflections, journals, generated talks, and voices) is encrypted with a key held only in your browser — we cannot read it and cannot recover it. If you lose your key, that content cannot be restored. You are responsible for backing up your key.
Paid plans are sold and processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com (“Paddle”). Paddle handles the transaction, taxes, receipts, and refunds, and Paddle’s name may appear on your statement. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms.
You agree not to: misuse or disrupt the Service; attempt to access other users’ data; reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service; use it for unlawful purposes; upload content you have no right to use; or present AI-generated content or the synthetic voices as human-authored, as authoritative teaching, or as professional advice, or use them to impersonate or deceive anyone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain rights to the reflections and material you provide. You grant us a limited licence to process that material solely to provide the Service to you (including transient processing by our AI provider to generate your talks). The Service, its software, and its branding are ours or our licensors’; nothing here transfers those rights to you. Generated talks are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
The lessons and commentary in the Service are inspired by classical works of Zen (Chan) and Mahayana Buddhist literature — including the Gateless Gate (Mumonkan), the Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch, the Diamond Sutra, the Heart Sutra, the Faith-Mind Inscription, the Song of Enlightenment, the Ten Oxherding Pictures, and traditional Zen story collections. These source works are centuries old and reside in the public domain. Where we reference an English rendering of a source text, we rely only on translations that are themselves in the public domain (for example, pre-1930 publications, or works whose copyright was not renewed) or that are otherwise open for such use; we do not reproduce translations that remain under copyright. All explanatory and instructional content the Service generates is original material created by us or by our AI system as commentary on these classical works. We claim no ownership of the underlying source texts, which belong to the shared heritage of the Buddhist tradition, and all trademarks and third-party translation copyrights remain the property of their respective owners. If you believe any material infringes a copyright, contact us at myroshi.app@gmail.com and we will review it promptly.
The Service relies on third parties including Paddle (payments), Google (sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting, delivery, and storage), and an AI model provider (content generation). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate or fit for any purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access, with reasonable notice, or immediately for a breach of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Theni, Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Questions about these Terms: myroshi.app@gmail.com. Billing, receipts, and refund requests can also be handled directly through Paddle.
