Delete Your Account

Last updated: 22 August 2026

MyRoshi is operated by Saravanakumar D, an individual sole proprietor, based in India. Contact: admin@myroshi.com.

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.

From inside the app

  1. Open MyRoshi and go to the menu (the third tab).
  2. Under Account, tap the row showing your email address.
  3. Tap Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm again.

Your account is erased at once and you are signed out on that device. There is no waiting period and no “deactivated” state.

If you cannot sign in

Email admin@myroshi.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account. We will delete it within 30 days, and in practice within a few working days. If you signed in with Apple and used Hide My Email, send the request from that relay address — it is the only address we hold for you.

We may ask you to confirm the request from the same address before acting on it, because the request is irreversible and we have no other way to know it is you.

What is deleted

  • Your account record and sign-in details.
  • Every dokusan, teisho, note and journal entry — all of it encrypted with your device’s key, so it is removed without ever having been readable by us.
  • Your study progress, curriculum position and quiz history.
  • Your uploaded notes and books, and everything derived from them.
  • Any feedback you sent the developer, together with the address it came from and any screenshots attached to it. This sits outside your encrypted store because a message to the developer that the developer cannot read is not a message — but an erasure request means erasure, so it goes with the account.
  • Your Sign in with Apple grant, which we revoke with Apple so the app no longer appears in your Apple ID.

What is kept, and why

  • Anonymous engine timings — how many seconds a given step of the audio pipeline took. Your identifier is stripped from these rows at deletion, so what remains cannot be connected to you or to anything you said.
  • Payment recordsheld by Apple and Google. Those belong to your store account, not to us — we never see your card details and cannot delete a store’s records. Contact Apple or Google for those.
  • Anything MyRoshi has saved on your phone — downloaded talks, your encryption key — goes when you delete the app.

Your subscription is not cancelled

A subscription belongs to your App Store or Google Play account, and we cannot cancel one for you. Cancel it first, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists:

  • iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MyRoshi → Cancel.
  • Android:Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MyRoshi → Cancel.

Deleting your account does not stop billing, and deleting the app does not either. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Deleting one thing instead of everything

You do not have to close the account to remove content. A single talk, one uploaded book, or your entire practice store can each be erased on their own, with the account left standing — see Delete your data. The Privacy Policy sets out what is held and for how long.
